Zay shows Smackle that he crossed large portions of the etiquette book out and instead wrote in what she already does. Farkle says, “Because it takes seventeen years to play.” They say that playing the game will help them get to know him. He understands and says that he does want to find out more.įarkle and Smackle explain that they got the idea to get Zay the board game because they realized they don’t know a lot about him. She explains that she thought he’d want to know more about who he is. Farkle talks through the menorah that Riley gave him. She tries to walk away, but Riley says no one can go anywhere until they figure out why these horrible gifts are actually great. Farkle Minkus doesn’t like that someone gave him a menorah, suggesting he shouldn’t even be celebrating Christmas anymore. Isadora Smackle is hurt that someone got her a book on etiquette. Zay is disappointed that he got a nerdy game. Maya realizes that she didn’t appreciate that gift at the time.Īt the cafe, everyone is disappointed with their Secret Santa gifts.
In the play, Katy gives Maya a permit so that she can go to the same school as Riley. Topanga Lawrence-Matthews plays Katy while Ava Morgenstern plays Maya. Riley decides to put on a play called A Christmas Maya to show Maya her Christmas past, present and future.
She tells an embarrassing story about a time when Katy dressed up as Gimbo the Elf and crawled through the hole in the apartment’s wall.
Zay Babineaux says that Lucas Friar is the smartest man alive because he went to Texas for the holidays and therefore got out of Secret Santa.Īt the dinner table, Maya says that every year on Christmas her mom Katy Hart does something crazy.
Maya says that if something goes wrong and she’s not there, it can’t be her fault.Īt the cafe, Riley gathers everyone around to pick their partner for Secret Santa. Riley is excited at first, but then asks why Maya would want to spend her first Christmas with Shawn Hunter away from home. Maya tells Riley that she’s her Christmas gift: she’ll be spending the holidays with her. Maya tells her that everyone besides her hates Secret Santa. Riley talks about how excited she is for Secret Santa. Girl Meets World season 3 episode 18 opens with Riley and Maya sitting in the bay window.
